Indiana

Project Title: Indiana Direct Support Professional Initiative

Indiana plans to implement a consistent and effective statewide education and training system for their over 18,000 direct support professionals and increase the professionalism of the field.

The DSW Resource Center will provide technical assistance with the following:

  • Development and implementation of a marketing plan to inform all providers and stakeholders of the benefits of the Phase One incentives.
  • Development and implementation of marketing to obtain funding to expand the Direct Support Professional Initiative state wide.
  • Development and implementation of strategies to recruit high school students, students of technical schools, and existing workers who have lost their job to the DSP field.
