Project Title: Ohio Alliance of Direct Support Professionals / Professional Advancement through Training and Education in Human Services
The goal of Ohio's PATHS program is to build a foundation for a DSP career lattice and ladder in the MRDD system.The Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (ODMRDD) has developed a comprehensive quality management information/data system and the goal of this initiative is to develop a data collection system for the PATHS initiative that links with ODMRDD and other governmental systems so that the effect of credentialing can be measured and the impact of its success can be shared.
The National Direct Service Workforce Resource Center will be providing Ohio with intensive technical assistance with the following tasks:
- Creation of valid outcome measures
- Development of data collection tools/systems
- Establishment of reliable and valid methodologies for data collection throughout the state
- Assurance of data integrity in what is collected, measured, reported
- Linkage with ODMRDD’s quality information management system
- Development of meaningful reporting formats.
