Technology-Based Learning (TBL) Initiative

The Employment and Training Administration (ETA), announces the availability of approximately $10 million in grant funds under the TBL Initiative to be awarded through a competitive process. The purpose of the Initiative is to expand access to training resulting in an increased number of workers trained, particularly in high-growth, high-demand occupations, and to meet the needs of industry for skilled employees. Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Local Funding Partnerships

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Local Funding Partnerships (LFP) forge relationships between the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and local grantmakers to fund promising, original projects can that significantly improve the health of vulnerable people in their communities.

Up to 14 matching grants of between $200,000 and $500,000 each per project will be awarded for the 2009 grant cycle. The deadline for Stage 1 brief proposals is July 8, 2008. For more information, please visit the RWJF grant solicitation.


AHRQ Grant Program for Conference Support:

The mission of AHRQ is to improve the quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of healthcare for all Americans. AHRQ seeks to further its mission through two separate grant programs, one for large and one for small conference support. AHRQ is especially interested in supporting conferences that include plans and strategies for disseminating conference materials and products to other audiences, beyond the participants attending the event. Such strategies might include, but are not limited to, submitting articles for publication, posting information on a Web site, and seeking formal opportunities to disseminate the conference information through other venues.

Large Conference Support: the maximum length of the project period is up to three years and the maximum award amount is $100,000 direct costs annually. Upcoming submission dates are: August 12, and December 12. For more information on Large Conference Support, please see the grant announcement.

Small Conference Support: the maximum length of the project period is one year and the maximum award amount is $50,000 in direct costs.
