North Carolina has taken a broad-based approach to addressing the direct care workforce. The Office of the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services seeks technical assistance to support the NC DHHS Frontline Worker Initiative. The goals of this task include 1) developing a cross-population, cross-divisional, statewide stakeholder group; 2) identifying the positions comprising workforce across agencies and populations, gaps and needs, and trends; 3) identifying successes and evidence-based practices; 4) determining core competencies for training and assistance in coordinating venues for training; 5) implementing social marketing campaign; and 6) developing a broader public education/marketing strategy relative to NC NOVA.
