TAA Community College Grants

In late September, the Departments of Labor and Education announced the recipients of the Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) initiative grants. These grants aim to support job training and education through community colleges for workers displaced by storms. The Department of Labor posted a list of Awards and Projects. Some include plans to use the grants to train people in health care professions. States that were not included in these awards will be working with agencies to create community college program plans. This could be an opportunity to build on partnerships and use this funding to support training related to the Direct Service Workforce.
